AMERICA!

I'M HOME! Which is awesome, even though I have no phones. Ah well. Hopefully, the spirit of christmas will work with me and let me have my old cell phone number back. Cross your fingers for me.
So yeah, coming home was fine, except my first two flights were delayed, which made me very very nervous but it's all good. (The second flight being the one from london to Chicago!) But! Awesomeness, I got to sit in business class on that flight which was great, and even more so because I had my (window) seat and then the seat next to me. Woohoo! So although it was the LONGEST flight ever (due to extremely strong headwinds or some such crap) it could have been much worse. And it was made even better by the fact that Sam was waiting for me at O'Hare :-). YAY! That was wonderful, and all guys should take that as an example of what to do. Cause it's sweet :-). So that was just fabulous.
Went to bed at around 8 pm then monday night and slept from 8 30 or so to 10 30 straight. Woohoo! and I was still tired enough to go to bed at a reasonable hour last night (that being like 1 or something, but still. that's pretty reasonable for vacation).
So yesterday I hung out around here for awhile (watched Roman Holiday!!!!) then went over to Alex's to play Risk. Followed by back here for dinner and then once suzanne got home we went over to Jon's house and I shared the joy of Siedler. woohoo! good times, noodle salad. Driving home from Jon's was frightening though because the winter storm we're in the middle of had just started, so that there was a layer of icy rain and then snow on top of it. And Suzanne was driving the Civic (which is stick) so wheee. But we made it.
Speaking of the storm, hopefully we'll be able to shovel out of our driveway, but the corolla is already stuck on the little hill in it. And that is nothing compared to the hills getting out of our neighborhood. So I'm probably stuck here for the time being. Which those of you from Evansville who I grew up with know that it's really no surprise. It's virtually impossible to get up the hill at top of which the entrance to my neighborhood is when it is snowy/icy/etc. Ah well. All of the streets out here where I live tend to be really dangerous whenever it's snowing, because they don't get priority for being tended by the snowplows and all that stuff and they're all hilly, winding roads. So yeah. Fun times. Hopefully we can get out so that I can get to sprint and fight for my phone number. :-(. I really, really don't want to have to get a new one.
So for now I'm sitting here listening to Christmas music and just having a lovely time. But I should take a shower or grab a shovel or something.
*when it snows, ain't it thrillin, though your nose gets a chillin*
