Back into the swing of things
So I come back to America and I'm right back into my one post a month habits ;-) As of now, I'm living in the Penthouse (top floor, which just consists of our room (quad) and a bathroom and a study lounge. But it's like it's own apartment. Seriously, the quad part, that has our beds and desks and dressers, is HUGE!
In anycase, I am back, and have survived christmas, new years, rush, life. :-)
I've also survived so much frikin snow!!!!!!
Haha, speaking of snow, here's a classic Alison move:
So last weekend (or this just past weekend) we had another snow storm. As I'm sure you all are aware. But so my german class (the lit one) was supposed to have a brunch thing at my professor's house, like a "get to know you" thing, saturday morning. Well, I was a bit scattered friday evening and just shut my computer (to put it into sleep mode) as I ran out the door, w/o bothering to check if any important emails had already been pulled off the server. Whoops. Apparantly there was an email (which I later saw) saying that the brunch was cancelled. I, if you haven't already guessed, did not see this email. And so trudged through the snow (took the el though for most of the way) and then trudged some more to get to my professors house (which for those of you familiar w/ nu's campus, is like a block away from ryan field). I then realize that there are no footprints or any signs of activity in the house, and so stood in the street in front of it trying to think of what to do when my professor opened the door and said hi and invited me in. so I had my own little private brunch with her, her husband, and their two kids (probably around the ages of 3 and 5ish) And in retrospect, I'm glad I did because they were really nice and the kids were/are adorable! :-)
So yeah, things are getting more and more back to normal. woohoo! this weekend I'm headed to purdue (I hope) cept I'm having difficulties with the details. But it'll all work out because it has to :-)
So I hope you enjoyed my monthly update, I think I'll be better now that I've done this one. Plus my workload is slowing down as I'm catching up on all my reading. yay!
*ev'ry little thing she does is magic*
