skatang17: i'm mad sick
skatang17: and mad awesome

which he is. :-) (both sick and awesome) so feel sorry for him cause he's sick but also not sorry for him because he's so awesome and looks good in everything. Shopping with him is bad because everything he tries on he just makes look so good on him. (this is what he informed me when we went shopping on monday)

Cubs Fans = Spaghetti Sauce made from a baseball

Yes, spaghettis sauce made from a baseball. THE baseball, in fact. One of, if not the, most loved professors at NU helped make a spaghetti sauce out of the baseball that Steve Bartman caught at the 2003 world series. Now the cubs can win! Here is the story as appeared in our newspaper:
http://www.dailynorthwestern.com/vnews/display.v/ART/2005/02/24/421d75cf58d8f

Eberhard, for those of you who care, is awesome and you have to read all of his quotes in the story w/ a german accent. For example:
"eet vahs a major operation in zee kitchen. Zey vahnted to get zee essence, zee spirit, of zeir ball in zee sauce and get rid of zee curse so zee Cubs can vin zee Vorld Series," Or something like that :-). In anycase, he rocks.

Here is a shout out to Eliot, who is sitting next to me wearing a super-cool Lump Sum t-shirt. Unfortunately, he does not realize that Lump Sum is and always will be lame. :-) SMILE! I heart Eliot and other chesterton people. tee hee hee.

also, eliot wants to give a shout out to "all my home boyz in cell block d"

LALALA, I'm going to be social now and talk to people. Woohoo!

*please don't say, we'll never find a way... and tell me all my love's in vain*

Friday Afternoon

SOOOOOOOOOOOO yeah my life is pretty dull and nothing exciting is going on.
I'm not doing much this weekend, that I know of, at least. Christine is in Chicago but she's not sure how much free time she has to hang out... hopefully I'll get to see her.
My superlame friends from home aren't coming:-(. No, they're not superlame, or even lame, and it actually worked out better cause i don't think I would have had a place for them to sleep, owing to Jaci's (housemom) uber-strict men policy. and KD's too, I guess;-)
SO! I'm going to Vegas for spring break... I need to find a plane ticket. So that's my update ;-) more later, maybe.

hehehehe

Post-Birthday Quick Update

SOOOO I'M 21!!!!!!! Woohoo!

I celebrated first by going to our fabulous date party (KD) on tuesday night... so at midnight I went back to the door and then got my drinks and it was super fun. Wednesday was really busy (yay 10 am discussion after like 5 hours, max, of sleep) and I didn't feel too well (hmmmmm ;-)) BUT we went to Thai Sookdee to co-celebrate Anthony and my birthdays. Hooray!

Also, thank you everyone for the birthday wishes and cards! I got approx. a million (hehehe) ecards and birthday cards and it just made me feel very loved :-) So you all rock. Woohoo!

Now we are going to petsmart, to buy some fish/water purifying stuff/lightbulbs. And then maybe dinner. They're picking me up in a few min so I'm just gonna ramble until then.

Registration starts this week! (insert kevin home alone face) I'm really worried because I still don't know where my credits from IES are going so I probably have to meet w/ my advisers (all 3 of them, bleh... for those of you who are wondering why I have 3, one for WCAS, one for German and the last for International Studies) to find out what they are willing to give me credit for. Yay!
Otherwise, not much else is going on right now...
Happy Birthday to my fabulous sistah on sunday! (woah, that's tomorrow!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!

Also, yay for my friends from home coming to visit me next weekend! (see, now I put it in my blog so you HAVE to come ;-))
ok, gotta run!

*life in the fast lane, surely make you lose your mind*

the 4th floor has clearly been misconstrued. the phrase "fourth floor" actually derives from the old nordic saying "Farthe Fluur! Schmegagie!" which old nordic barbarians cried as they rode into battle on thier tricycles. when directly translated it means, "Imhof, quit crying you little girl, get off our planes. quit trying to milk me!" Clearly the Nordics had it right, Imhof is a unworthy of the 4th floor, and should be sent to a mental hospital in Tutseebongee, Zimbabwia to be given proper treatment.

I've been laughing out loud. (not that that's amazing for me to do but seriously, it's hilarious.) my name was Shameekiakatuku! I completely forgot about that :-). And it's just glorious. I want to find the thread where glen posted about fish and eating stuff? I only vaguely remember it but it was hilarious! oh yeah, you need the site:

Weekend at Purdue (I hate american trains)

So I went to Purdue this weekend for Amy's birthday/goodbye! (yay amy! I'm sure she's already having tons of fun ;-))
It was fabulous and tons of fun :-). Yay for seeing old friends from home!
The only bad part was that my train got delayed... I arrived in Lafayette at 3 am, when I was supposed to arrive at 11:45. The reason was that in front of us a CSX freight train was stopped on the only tracks because the crew works in 12 hour shifts and their shift ran out right there. So we were on this side track waiting for them to pass us for like 2 horus before they announced what was going on and said they were bringing in a bus from chicago. So we waited another hour and then got on the bus at like 12 15 am. Wheeeeeeeeee. Even better was the fact that the bus driver had no knowledge of those roads or where the train stations were so he was struggling along w/ mapquest. Coming back we were delayed too, but I was asleep almost all of the time so I have no idea why. :-)
Also, yesterday was Miriam's birthday... YAY! So we went to Daves (which was delicious) and had yummy food while Miriam got to drink alcohol legally in public :-). woohoo!!!!
On the bright side, I get to check out my apt. tonight. woohoo! But I also have 2 midterms on thursday so I think I'm going to read now. :-)
