80 degrees, free ice cream, and making a fool of myself

So as the title says, it's 80 degrees out here. hellz yeah! Also, it's customer appreciation day at Ben and Jerry's, which means free ice cream! Yesssssss!
But most importantly, Miriam and I just played the stalker game and after Miriam was informed that Zach Braff (forgive me if I don't know how to spell his name) was at Panera, we popped over there just in time to see him walking out. As in, we were walking one direction, he was walking another direction, and we passed within like, a foot of each other. Maybe 2 feet. but very close. Miriam played it marvelously cool; I however, decided that the best reaction would to just stare blankly at him with my mouth wide open. Awesome. He's really tall, by the way. Which means that Elliot must be really tall. so hmmmmm.
Ok, I gotta run, standing by the rock promoting Twister and Prevent Child Abuse America. woohoo!

Rain/Comedy

So chicago has finally shown it's true colors. Rainy and cold, which sucks by itself but then the Cubs game got postponed til tomorrow. Boohiss. At least it'll give Prior another day to heal? ;-) Not like it makes a difference.
I'm exhausted. I was tired earlier, but I thought I just needed to exercise and it would give me energy but it failed. now I'm just dead. And sticky. However, I have yummy crystal light powder to put in my water so that makes me happy. Also, strawberry honey bunches of oats. Dear lord, is that the best cereal ever.
Last night I saw Dane Cook and a couple other comedians when they stopped here on their Tourgasm Tour. He was with Gary Gulman, Robert Kelly and Jay Davis. The first two were hilarious, Davis, however, bombed and wasn't that funny at all. For those of you who don't know who Dane Cook is, shame on you. He is hilarious and amazing and you should download his skits right now. Or, go to a show. He came here my freshman year and both times I almost never stopped laughing.
Sadly, our tuesday Gilmore Girls fest is cancelled this week (no huge deal cause it's a rerun anyways) but it leaves me with a lot of nothing to do. Well, I guess I could do homework, but who wants to do that? curses, it looks like it's the library for me tonight. Better that way though, then maybe I won't be up til 4am this Thursday night.
Eating freeze dried strawberries without any milk is a very strange experience. Just a little fyi.
oh and I'd like to thank Kelli for re-facilitating my stalkerish procrastination habits. :-) hehehehe.
Alright, I'm out.
*hell yes, my beat is correct*

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood

I love spring! And for once, spring is being nice to Evanston!
Also, today is my brothers' birthday. They're 18! Ah! That makes me feel old ;-). In anycase, I doubt they read this, but if you guys do, happy birthday stephen and bradley!
The best part about spring is how happy it makes everyone. Just walking down the street everyone is so cheerful. Which, of course, you all know. But seriously, spring quarter is the best quarter. Everyone is happy and excited after winter. As opposed to winter quarter, in which everyone hates everyone else and hides in little holes to avoid the cold. Fall quarter is good too, but you have winter looming ahead and the days just keep getting colder. Spring is perfect. Especially this spring. Although I can't say I'm excited about everyone graduating soon. Well, not everyone. But soooo many people I'm close to. Sadness for me, happiness for them :-)
I should do some work. Cubs are tied, hopefully they'll pull through.
*if I fall you're coming down with me* (haha, been listening to the dixie chicks)

Mixed Emotions

I know I know... it's been a month since an update but I'm assuming most people don't even read this anymore since I came home. so THERE. Also, I'm sorry for saying that cause it's almost the lamest thing ever to read in people's blogs or livejournals or xangas or whatever.
So yeah, I'm in a weird mood right now. On the one hand, I'm elated because it's friday, because I get to go get tipsy w/ faculty (faculty cocktail hour), and most importantly: because Alex and Glen are coming to visit!!!!!!! YAY! And this time for sure because they are actually en route as I type! So much excitement. Also, my room is awesome (come visit me!) although it still needs some work. In a bit I'm going to get the rest of the stuff out of the middle of my floor and vacuum the rug. Par-tay. Cept it's all good cause I'm listening to Sportfreunde Stiller and feeling energetic ;-). don't worry, you don't know them. They're German.
But all of this is playing against the imminent death of the Pope. Sadness. But even that is tempered by the fact that I feel happy for him to move onto the next part of his life. Am I evil? It's not that I want people to die... it's just when I see them miserable I can't help but to think it would be better for them to die. Especially in cases such as the Pope where he has lived his whole life well and to its fullest. In any case, it will be very interesting to see what happens in the following hours, days, weeks.
In other news, classes are back in swing. I did quite well winter quarter so I hope to continue the raising of the GPA. I could even potentially apply for honors in german! (not sure about it yet, though)
Jetzt, to clean and shower and get ready for the weekend!
