Life

It's always a good sign when I click on my link to this and I have to re-enter my password, because it means I haven't been to this site for a ridiculously long time. And I'm sure no one even reads this anymore but the internet just has to hear my stories.
So first of all, Kanye West is coming to NU, which is approx. the biggest thing ever. Unfortunately, A&O decided that even though it's being held in our basketball stadium, which seats like 7000, they wanted to keep it small or something so they only sold 2500 tickets. For more general details of the craziness that followed, read the article in the Daily (crap, I forgot how to link things... so here's the url: http://www.dailynorthwestern.com/vnews/display.v/ART/2005/11/03/4369cb955ab8d?template=default ).
I didn't get there as early as some, I woke up at 8 and got to Norris around 8:15. By that time, the line was upstairs and I think it was about to start backing down the stairs again when they moved us (something about breaking the firecode?) to the auditorium at about 9. We then got to sit there until they started moving us out, one row at a time, 3 hours later. I finally got my tickets at 12 30. It was just insane, it was like we were refugees or prisoners or something. They watched people going in and out (because they wanted to keep the spots in line) and eventually, once they started taking us out of the auditorium, wouldn't let anyone else in. Craziness, pure craziness. This better be the best concert ever. I'm sure it will be close :-).
But this week was good because Amy was in Chicago for interviews and so we got to hang out and wander around downtown this afternoon before she left. Yay!
Then tonight we went to Ron of Japan (Hibachi) for dinner. Also fun, but not as exciting as other hibachi restaurants. There was no presentation. Which is the whole point of going to that sort of restaurant. Ah well. Live and learn. . .
As for my life, nothing exciting going on. Just class, same ol same ol.
Oh! last weekend was homecoming, and even though we lost (:-( ) it was so much fun having people around again! The campus really came alive (not just because of alumni but also because it was such a big game and everyone was so excited). For once, people here actually cared ;-).
Oh, and I saw Wicked a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to see it again and again and again. Ana Gasteyer is just unbelievable. I mean, she's perfect for the role, it must have been made for her, and man, can she sing. So the point is, GO!!!!!!! You won't regret it!
*defying gravity*
